Sale 1861 team

I am very proud to captain the first ever women’s Sale 1861 team, a partnership of Sale FC and Sale Sharks.
My first step in sport was in a pair of sprint spikes, competing as a junior athlete in the 100m/200m for Great Britain up to the age of 18. I was then thrown a lucky egg and trained full time for 5 years for British Bobsleigh where my ice spikes took me to the Olympic Games in Sochi 2014. In 2015 I put on my first pair of boots. Never caught a rugby ball? That sounds like my kind of challenge.
Sale 1861 are a team with big ambitions to play top flight rugby, developing the positive culture and high energy that defines the Sale family.
I am excited for where this team are heading and would like to say thank you to everyone for their continued support and commitment.

See you pitch side!

Bex Wilson, Captain (13)
